leaving


When you left that first day, I tried to stay strong. I didn't cry in front of you as you were taken away. This is what you wanted after all. Defending our country is your dream, and I'll support you no matter what. But, as the minutes ticked by I could feel my composure slipping. I could feel the tears slipping down my cheeks like water aginst glass. But, This is what you wanted after all.
