Leaving

My bags are packed, and you wonder what we lacked, in a relationship we gave up on, i open the door and step out onto the lawn, you are screaming and tears are streaming from my eyes, I want to stay but it is too late i wont take the bait that you offer me, I thought you were the one but I now see the truth and it weighs a ton on my shoulders, I put on a smile just so you wont fall to the tile, sad and depressed because our relationship had regressed, we both knew it would come to this but i must admit i am stuck in a pit of loneliness and i cant keep from looking back as i open up that cab door and drop my suitcase on that floor knowing we can not do this anymore we are both poor in heart and if i stay i feel you may haul me off in a cart and bury me within a grove of timbers.
