Leaving Home

As you lift me on your wings

And away from my home

I realize my body is not all I will leave

I will leave the job of my mother’s dreams

And along with that, a life filled with grief

I will leave a fickle wife who never loved me

And along with her, kids that were no kin to me

Before I began writing, I was someone other than myself. Writing is my way to be me and put my world in words. Through this site, I hope that I can grow as a writer and hopefully be known in the writing community one day. That said, if you like my writing please share my work and help me out, thank you! Also, if you ever want to contact me, my email is [email protected]. Don’t be shy, email me; tell me something about one of my poems, maybe tell me your favorite one or least favorite, anything!! I want to improve as a writer so I love all constructive criticism and compliments too of course. Have a good day!
