Leaving the West

150 kilometers an hour, quickly leaving the west

My eyes are slowly closing but it's impossible to rest

Yesterday seems like forever ago, saying goodbye in the driveway

Leaving the place that I call home, even though I can't stay

I'll never forget sitting on the porch stargazing into the night

Making wishes on falling stars, miles away but burning so bright

I feel lucky to know you, like you're my four leaf clover

I'll miss you so much more this time, but for you,

A thousand times over

Time might cange us and pictures may fade

But we'll always have memories, and those will never change

I've had the time of my life, and it's a shame for us to part

But from now until forever

You'll be in my heart.
