Left Alone
The cold grip that held on to the failures that I committed
slowly loosened as I watched those dark forest eyes look into my soul
as if it were my mom watching over me .
The pain struck my heart like an icicle had pierced its sharp tip through my chest
yet all I felt was anger not pain but the boil of the idea that it was him who had left me to rot
Not a stranger in search for money or jewels
but the one I loved and trusted
Cursed my name through the act of selfishness and left me to rot in the stench of their deeds
leaving me missing as if I were just another lost puzzle piece.
