Left Behind

One family turns to two

And who is left, but I

For now, these families are one and two

Family one is gone and just passes by

While two goes on to be remarried

Rebuilding their lives separately

And I am left to be buried

 The only one trying desperately

Trying to save our family

But life has moved on

And for most happily

No longer their baby swan

I am forgotten in a sea of hate

Filled by all parents, four to be exact

And who has yet, to decided my fate

Did anyone ever think of the impact?

Think of me and where I stand?

Where I am being filled with anger and hate

Bestowed to me by my parents hand

Me, the one they both had to create

But now, what happens when love must come

For I was never raised to be in love

It is fear and hate, I must run from

So for once I can be the one above

Above all the fear and hate

For once, I will decide my fate
