Left Behind

I hear her,

Like the screaming wind.

Coming closer to me

In the hall with no end.

Her eyes are dark,

Her clothes are ragged,

Her tear-stained face

Shows her soul, so jagged.

This suffering girl,

Who wants nothing but to find,

A way back into the world

That once left her behind.
