Left Behind in Darkness
I walked in darkness today
My heart trembled
I thought of you and I shook
How can you touch me through time so clearly
YOU are the essence of my deepest secret heart
I miss you daily, but avoid you completely
The one who makes my heart tremble, my fingers shake
Once in your presence I fainted
Such shame, such pain yet I linger tempted to cross your path
My heart aches in those deep dark places
YOU echo through my soul
No time is nothing
Place it nothing for you are eternally a part of me
I may not have chosen to love you so
but your love has chained me hopelessly
No you are the only light I can see
even now as I walk in darkness
someday you will blind me
you will lighten my path
and someday you will change me forever
simply because you can
then my heart will tremble no more
silent in its repose
humble in its contemplation
a servant to you
time is nothing
and your heart is my everything
