Left With Love

We only met some weeks ago

Somehow it feels like years.

Our friendship brought no sorrow

But now brings me to tears.

You left me lying in the dirt

A different friendship grew

Of course I was put down and hurt

Only Because I love you.

Now when I see you hanging out

With other friends than me

I feel the pain, without a doubt

Of the memories that used to be.

I won't talk bad or call you out,

Revenge I won't pursue.

I'll only pray you'll figure out

Just what I'm trying to do.

Why do I wish good things for you?

Why am I not untrue?

Why do I hope your life is great?

Oh friend, Because I love you.
