To the Left from the Right

When prayers lead to speculation and speculation leads to frustration,

Temptation- seeking its way into your very core,

Realizing what was "just an act" was a "score" for the enemy to take more...

More of your peace, joy and love,

Not realizing it's all given from above.

But instead of harnessing its power,

You allow it to fall into the hands of the devourer.

Although, when he takes it, it's of no use to him; He just dumps it into his pocket.

While it cripples your every limb; Like flying into space without a rocket.

Imagine, someone who takes from you just for "fun."

And then leaves you in a hole with nowhere to run.

Yet you run.. run to me; Me, Why me? Why?

Didn't you forsee this outcome, "SIGH!"

I SAY sigh not DO it,

Because when I do it, I rock the heavens and when the heavens are rocked, the earth is shaken.

There were many precautions taken, yet you still trip and fall;

Awaken, my child, and see that although you are forgiven;

I expect more of thee..
