Left side
I am tired
Of living in a man’s world
My walk is virile
My work masculine
I am tired
Of suffering their authority
Yet I embrace inferiority
Allowing them to belittle me
Their power is a curse
Yet their ego remains a fraud
They tell us we cannot dream
Yet I see beyond their nightmare
I may be tired
Yet I am true to my being
The woman in me steals the right to be
The eagle in her agrees to set her free.
