Legacy In a Cup

 

Milla was a good girl, with everything in line. But one day she woke, up and realized, she just didn’t have time. Time to see the world, and time to fall in love, Milla’s body, just wasn’t built with the right stuff. See, Milla was a good girl, just with very bad luck. She was born with a heart defect, That just had her stuck. She worked every day and volunteered every night, But still that didn’t slow or stop the forever ticking clock, So Milla, did this thing, with no intention to stop. This brave young girl, made a brave big trip, And went around the world, in search of the perfect cup of tea to sip. She finally found a quest to quiet the chimes of her clock. Overseas and through jungles she trekked, Her glimmering spirit, never in a wreck. In Brazil she finally found the perfect cup of tea. And she traveled back home, so that everyone could see. On her last week on earth, everyone asked her why Why fly away when, you have so little time? She answered with a smile, knowing her quest was finally through. Milla said, “it’s how you get people to remember you.” Ideas come and go, People are born and pass, But people will be drinking my tea into the final hours of the sunset of their last. “Every time, you drink this tea, you will remember me.” The sweetness, the tang, the smile on your lips, is the simple and perfect final key. To leave something behind, when you pass on to a different plane, will leave you a legacy forever, doesn’t that seem strange?
