a legend


and they waded side to side

buckets in hand

hearts sinking into the depths of their brimming boots

the crashing of waves shaking their bones

the sound rolling and clapping in every direction

they frantically searched for the leak

and upon finding it rejoiced

the yellow coated men cast their final pails

as the grey sea flooded cobalt

and the city below lowered umbrellas
