The Legend

As the sea begins to cry out in pain and agony

Nets are picked up and fish stored below deck

Waves crash all around the rickety ship

10 souls lost, 10 more soon to follow them

Only a handful still have hope of making it back

with the Herring still aboard

but there is one aboard known throughout

the sea for their sailing skill

A new heading is set, hope has not died here today

A wave crashes, now were sailing without a rudder

With confidence in his face, he is not shaken

He’s trying to fake being in control of the ship

Only with the grace of god will they make it through the storm

No one else knows this fact but him

Fear begins to set in

As her belly fills with water

The captain is prepared to go down with his ship

But at last shore is reached

And a New legend has been born

Everyone remarks at his skill

He knows the truth.
