The Legend Within

I stand before the reflection

Waiting for the moment

Only three repetitions spoken

“Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary”

I wait for my answer

Heart pounding, life aflutter

It’s only an instance

Patiently I wait

The end draws near

My reflection stays the same

Might there be an error

For there is no terror

Welcome the moment

To disappear

Be a light

Quit the fight

“Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary”

The broken reflection

The calm chaos of the laughter I hear

I look behind me

For there is nothing

But the brief encounter of my fear

Gone forever is my moment

“Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary”
