Lemonade

When I was young I was a typical child

About 3'5" and eyes of wild.

I used to love to run and play

But little did I know that that would soon fade.

Because when I was on the playground

Sipping on my lemonade

The othrs decided to pay

A visit to to tell me I couldn't stay.

They called me names and pushed me around

And little by little my self-esteem hit the ground.

Years later I would cry on the stall floor

But I didn't feel better after I saw

Skylar's a whore.

I don't know why they did these deeds.

Was it envy? Was it greed?

But just their hate was all that I need.

After 6 long years of hate and neglect

The deep pain was already in effect.

I sat on the bathroom floor

With the blade I got from the kitchen drawer.

I started to draw lines

On my anorexic chicken thighs.

It made me feel better for a while

But it was never enough to make me smile.

All the closest to me may say that this is a lie

But I can assure you

The only thing I fib

Is that I love the sip

Of lemonade.
