lenny kravitz

turn off that lenny kravitz song everyone knows

i know its raining and the weather blows but

im here right beside you

watching some Netflix special

laughing at timothee chalamet

its just you, me, and my

2013 macbook pro

the screen is broken with a green line

through it but i don’t care

i hope you don’t either

the movie reaches its end and

so do the flamin hot Cheetos and im

happy just to be sitting with you in

my chair meant for one person

i close the laptop and turn to you and smile

i thank you for coming to

watch the dumb movie with me

we both hated it

the rain quiets as if to give us some sort

of cue, but you just stand

up and walk out of the room

and i am left to thinking of what

i could’ve done

but then the rain starts again

and i watch the next movie in my suggested

a much more dreary

tone and i move on with my

night and im just left with the crumbs at

the bottom of the bag of Cheetos.

j.g.

love's gonna get you killed, but pride's gonna be the death of you.
