Lens

If my lens were connected to my heart you would see struggle

You would see the kids in Africa fighting for their next meal,

You would see Tsunamis taking out a community

If my lens could capture everything I see

Pages would turn forever,

Laws would change

If my lens had the power to change

People would feel vulnerable,

What was once right would be wrong

If my lens had the audacity to challenge

It will start a revolution,

It would lead people to a better life

If my lens froze a moment in time

Critics will point and laugh,

Believers will cower in shame

If my lens were human

It would see new canvas,

It would wish it were blind

If my lens were connected to my heart you would see pain

You would see red in asea of white,

You would see a loved one move on

If my lens were to show you the world

A shadow would hide half of it,

My face would still be stuck behind it
