The Leper Odyssey

Raised to work

Raised to survive

Raised to live but never feel alive

Raised to hate by twisted fates from prior hearts that had no ounces

Raised to fail in the eyes of success

Raised to bow by who viewed what was best

Raised by opinions that lead to hopelessness

In my eyes we are raised to fail, so I say NO

I’m not raised by the society of despotic rules

I raise myself with the heart of passion

With the lungs of a meadow breeze

With the spirit of hope…All negativity decease

And as tall as the leaves on evergreen trees

Before I give in I would wriggle on my knees

Raised to tear

Raised to coral

Raised to flesh and never have moral

Raised to hate by twisted fates from prior hearts that had no ounces

Raised to fail in the eyes of success

Raised to bow by who viewed what was best

Raised by opinions that lead to hopelessness

In my eyes we are raised to fail, so I say NO

I am not raised by the detoured minds

I raise myself

I see what others couldn’t fathom

I see what others doubt

I see love that’s radiant

My heart thirst for the happiness of the poorest doubt in man…All negativity decease

And as tall as the leaves on evergreen trees

Before I give in I would wriggle on my knees

Raised in chaos

Raised to deceive

Raised in schools, but never taught to believe

Raised to hate by twisted fates from prior hearts that had no ounces

Raised to fail in the eyes of success

Raised to bow by who viewed what was best

Raised by opinions that lead to hopelessness

In my eyes we are raised to fail…so I say NO

I’m not raised by the dimmed emotions of the hopeless

I raise myself

I love, believe, and applaud myself

I love and care for the ones who aren’t found by anyone else

I love love, and despise hate

And I despise the rules of the common minds fate

I will not accept, and I will make

My own path if I see no opened gate

So when you say the only way is just to survive

I keep walking my path

A path to being Alive
