Less a coach, More a teacher

Less a coach, more a teacher
In our practices you were a preacher
My confidence wavered from experiences past
But a man like you knew how to bring me out
Out of my shell, you brought this change about

From making me scream out our cheers
To encouraging me oh so sincere
In that short season even my parents noticed
I seemed more myself in social settings
Just from those practices, always sweating

Confidence on the court and during presentations
You got me out of this dumb fixation
Where I cared about what people thought
And how I looked and how I talked
So thank you, My dear Coach Benny
