Less Than Equal To Greater Than !

Less questions on the test because they thought that I was dummer than the rest

Less struggle because daddy was a hustler and he knew how to hustle

Less time with us cause he did 9 after that bust

Less than a mother how could you leave me to be raised by grandmother

Less than a human he made me feel you seen the proof and you knew it was real

Less than the love I felt because instead of him being dealt everything thing I did wrong I had welts at the hands of your man I mean your mothers man which makes him my papa than?

Less than the love I had for myself because I never knew how to properly love myself

Less  than a mother because I was so much younger placed in a bracket and labeled with that stereotypical jacket...but then I walked across the stage at that same young age, then I became

Equal to the people that were beside me

Equal to the person they wanted me to be but deep down questioning is that really me

Equal to that beautiful melanin girl that walks past the mirror &’ wouldn’t be able to even recognized her own figure

Equal to the time that has passed and I knew I had to shake back and fast than I became greater than...greater than my opponents because I knew me and who I was and I was determined to own it go beyond that and show it to those who are like me maybe not like me but was THE the outsider, loner, maybe a slight stoner, wanting to fit and knowing I didn’t belong with that click, now I stand, stand strong overcoming those troubling times I vowed to this day that as I speak that

this test is only a test for my testimony I vow to build my army because no other human can destroy me , we my children who may have suffered because of my burdens will live the life that I promised to them.
