LESSON
If this is a lesson I don't understand what I'm suppossed to learn,
The only time I see my daddy is when I am staring at his urn.
I never got the chance to feel like daddy's little girl,
He wasn't here when I was growing up and learning about this world.
Pills were more important right?
Your death fills me with rage,
You weren't here at all, you didn't even get to see me walk across the stage.
I've come a long way and I can only hope to make it farther,
You see me struggling, can you give me a helping hand considering I'm your daughter?
My whole life revolves around the fact that you are dead,
Not much people really understand what's going through my head.
I feel your presence all the time but somehow I'm alone,
I want to hear your voice I wish I could just pick up the phone.
It really sucks living without a dad,
I feel like I've lost something I barely even had.
I just wish you would have been a little smarter,
As time goes on this only gets harder.
I want to say I forgive you but I don't think that I have,
The day I'll do that is when I stop being sad.
