Lessons in poetry

I once thought 

That poetry was for weak people

Only weak people write poetry

I thought wrong

I found in the eighth grade

That when I was alone

Poetry was here when no one else was

Through poetry

I've learned that poetry isn't for the weak

Poetry is for the strong

Writing poetry made me strong
