Lessons of Poetry

Poetry.

What lessons have you taught me?

Be creative, classic, original.

Taught me rhythm, taught me rhyme, taught me how to keep in time

But sometimes

You mearly teach me to take my time

To pause, and listen to the far reaches of imagination

Where I can hear the song of Hiawatha and the wind blowing through the trees.
