Lessons from Poetry

In this life of hazed confusion

Poetry has gifted me clairity, something that is sort of a rarity;

Throughout my times of chaos

Poetry has given me peace, something that I often seek;

When I was alone

Poetry decided to stay, even when others decided to go on their way;

When I had no hope

Poetry taught me how to cope.
