Poetry is interpreted in many ways. Poetry gets me through my days. Simple words you're left to ponder, Leaving you in a world of wonder. On a circuitous journey, you seem to meander. To understand just where hearts wander. Poetry has taught me how to love. Whether it's words of wisdom about a dove, Or a tale of heartbreak from square one. Poetry has helped me understand, Complex situations on another's hand. Poetry has helped me learn, Breaking down a problem in rhyming words. Poetry has taught me forgivness. To stand and listen to every witness. Poetry gives me hopes, dreams, and wishes.. Poetry even helps when I'm bored with the dishes. Poetry has helped me through life struggles, Even when my sadness leaves me in bundles. Poetry has changed my life, Gave me a fight inside without strife. Controversies may be hard to manage, Although, read this page and you'll see no damage. Poetry has taught me how to manage my emotions. As calming as watching the oceans motions. In my head there is no more commotion. Poetry can help a lot you see, It can even show you who you're meant to be.
