Let Down Your Hair

  Once upon a time

They all begged me to "let down my hair"

You are here to help

You are here to rescue me from this tower that I have become a victim to

But what if I didn't mid my fate?

What if letting you up here and letting down my hair wasn't an escape?

If I invite you into this world where you see the life I've made-

I'd pray that you would have the heart to leave me there

I'd hope you would forever turn away

Forget that I ever existed, I deserve to live this way

You see, I will never let down my hair

For if you knew of the world you were inviting yourself into

Simply to rescue me

That I just could not bare

You have earned a lifetime of wonderful things and simply so much more

I won't burden you with my presence

I will keep up my hair, please just leave me alone here
