Let go

An angel slowly crawled out of your mouth to give me a kiss with his lips of petals, he tried to heal my tounge of thorns though, my poisoned mouth was just too strong, sweetly killing your angel Kisses didn't mean passion Touching didnt mean sincerity Hugs didnt mean comfort And sex mean making love You picked your angel off the ground and slowly wept you gazed at me with your glossy eyes, and I just looked away selfish they called me, heartbreaker you called me, and destroy I called myself That's just what happens when you dance with the devil Looking at someone doesnt always mean seeing Smiles didn't always mean true happiness Truth didn't always mean good And singing a song doesn't always mean it's a lullaby As I started to walk away you grabbed my arm begging me too look at you looking down, I continued to walk away You bit down on my flesh refusing to leave, scrapping up my blood from the floor You didn't even realize your own knees were bleeding Beautiful faces didnt always mean beauty partners didnt always mean both sides were equal thoughts didnt always mean dreams and having a heart doesn't always mean its pure In a split second I felt a rush of discomfort Looking back too see you weren't dragging on me anymore You were holding hands with another, who truly held yours back I can't say it was easy too say goodbye, but I needed you too let go. Sometimes time means wounds will be healed letting go sometimes means you love them even more not looking back can sometimes show you what you did was right and even letting someone be happy without you, means courage
