Let Go, Let God
Dear God—
I tried.
I gave everything I had—
hands shaking,
heart racing,
my mind a whirl I couldn’t escape.
I carried the weight—
long past my shoulders’ strength.
I dragged on through days that screamed at me,
and nights that whispered nothing at all.
Even though You were there—
quiet in the cracks,
steady in the shadows,
I was too busy holding on
to notice fully.
I am tired.
I am human.
I am raw.
And still—
I am here,
breathing despite it all.
So I drop it all now—
every fear,
every failure,
every “not enough.”
Like heavy school books piling onto desks,
I let it fall.
But You catch it.
You take it,
and make it holy.
I don’t have to fix it all.
I don’t have to carry it alone.
I did my best.
I am enough.
I breathe.
I let go.
And I trust You to do the rest.

Your Poem's Voice
Blends personal exhaustion with universal spiritual surrender and acceptance.
Dense with emotional revelations, spiritual declarations, and existential shifts throughout.
Moves from despair to acceptance and affirmation; ultimately hopeful and empowered.
Turbulent internal struggle conveyed through punctuation, capitalization, physical imagery.
Approximately 28 lines; falls in mid-length range.
Uses metaphors, similes, and personification; ornate but grounded in raw emotion.
Pure lyric confessional voice addressing God directly; intensely internal and personal.
