Let Go of Me
Let go of me! Don't squeeze me, life, from the inside
I love your winter; take away your summer nights
Bring ice to freeze, but don't you dare to burn me out
Frozen skeleton remains while ashes fly apart
This nineteen is thousand times enough for me
Steal all comprehension or do not let me breathe.
Let go of me! My sisters, I only lived for thee
You were consolidation while mother was away
Home became a nightmare. For that I am to blame
My poetry is foolish. Out is mere way
Swear to me no curse will flow from mouth of yours
Remember our dearest moments of yore.
Let go of me! My dear friend, you know I'm old
You've read the novel in me to the world untold
Don't ask me to remain. Unlike you I am not so bold
Will go to make new friends in fiery underworld
I'll drown like Martin Eden though in wintry cold
Find me in my verses. Don't be mad at world.
Let go of me! My faded dreams, you are to bleed
Beloved one has fled away in time of need
A beautiful mascara - truth was mere greed
No navy woods of poetry will grow from seeds
Enough of this! This world is not my place to live
I leave you all forever. Farewell, my dears!
