Let Go of My Hand

I wake up with joy and sometimes with pain,

Wonderin’ what will I lose and what will I gain.

Being tossed back and forth just like a ball

Wonderin’ will I be standing or will I fall.

Just give me away if you please,

Cause I feel like I am some kind of dis-ease,

That you wish to get rid of, in which you can

Time is up, you can let go of my hand.

Standing here all alone

Trying to fix my rights with every wrong.

Keep pushing me until I fall on my face,

This life is just a challenge and not a race.

Go away and leave me here,

To feel this pain just one more year.

My hear is small and will never expand,

Time is up, you can let go of my hand.

I reach for the stars, that somehow never appear,

Sometimes I ask, God why am I here?

I’m serving my purpose I know that I’ll make it,

Even at times when I feel like I don’t fit.

Building my strength because I know I can stand,

Time is up, you can let go of my hand.

This is the end, I’ve gazed the stars,

I made it through earth, now I’m passing Mars.

I’m playing my part so you better play yours,

I believe in God and now he has open these doors.

Doors to freedom, doors to joy; doors to more of what I had before.

The stars that I said I thought I couldn’t reach and see,

It had never come to mind that the star was me!
