Let Hell Rejoice
When I die, let hell rejoice in fear relieved,
For its fiercest foe has finally been retrieved.
Let darkness breathe easy when my soul takes flight,
For I spent my whole life standing against the night.
Let every chain I shattered still rattle in its halls,
Let every lie I silenced still echo through its walls.
Let every temptation conquered leave scars upon its throne,
A reminder that resistance can weaken stone by stone.
I want my prayers to thunder where evil tried to build,
I want my faith to haunt the dark long after I am still.
Let my discipline be warfare, my obedience a blade,
A constant interruption to the chaos darkness made.
Let my life become a warning to all that seek destroy,
That one unyielding spirit can undo the devil’s joy.
And when my final hour comes, let no man say I fled,
But that I faced the storm head-on with fire in my chest instead.
That I fought when I was weary.
That I stood when others fell.
That I endured through every trial
And made an enemy of hell.
And if hell rejoices when at last I leave this earth,
Let it only be because I made it tremble at my birth.
