Let Her Go

Fri, 08/14/2015 - 01:53 -- Jaeley

A little girl with big blue eyes

Running through a field of flow’rs

Her long blonde hair done up in curls

Dancing out in April show’rs

I never thought I’d have to let her go

She’d smile at daddy when he held her

Spinning ‘round ‘til she could fly

Her arms spread wide with peals of laughter

Like an airplane in the sky

I never thought I’d have to let her go

But until my time is up

I know she watches from above

A little girl with heart of gold

Looking over me with love

I know I’ll never have to let her go

We’ll run through heaven’s golden flowers

Somewhere dancing in the sky

We’ll splash through heaven’s silver waters

Arms spread out like we can fly

And then I’ll never have to say goodbye

Then I’ll never have to say goodbye
