Let It Flow (Why I write Scholarship)
(I just want to go back to before again,
When you didn’t treat me less than more than a friend.
And the things we did weren’t considered more of a sin.
And lately it seem from afar its seems you smile,
But all the while when up close I realize it’s just more of a grin.
... Why must you hide?
Cause even the most complicated of complications can be resolved.
I show you empathy but simply you believe “he dissolved”
Into an over-emotional reflection,
Nothing is perfect,
But these imperfections give way to perfection.
Embrace me!
Take me for who and what I am.
For love knows not of any boundary or law,
Accept me as a man…flaws and all.
I am here,
Who would think something simple,
Could escalate to something detrimental.
Such emotional scars can have such a negative effect on the mental.
And losing your mental can damage the physical,
All from something you can’t see.
So why fear what surrounds me in the world,
When the deadliest weapon is me
