Let it go

A long silent pause was made,

I read the text message and I could not believe it.

I felt my heart stop, it pounded

I felt my heart break into a million pieces, like a mirror when it hits the floor.

I was speechless,

I cried out to God, hoping that it wasn’t true.

It was too late he was gone, gone forever.

Memories of him pop into my mind.

Tears streaming down my face

Trying to hold it in, but it’s too late.

I find myself crying streams.

I’m on the ground questioning God’s destiny for me.

Why, why, why, why, I asked

I only hear silence

From both ends

I’m happy because I know where he is.

I’m sad because he left my side.

The pain is here, but joy comes later

I know God has a purpose, but it’s hard not to feel the pain.

After all I am human

I have emotions.

Faith is all I have left
