Let it Grow

Times are hard enough when faced alone

For that reason we are blessed with others to make us strong

Mother, brother, friends and all

Are what we need to help us stand tall

But it is not just the title that makes it concrete

It is the times they were there to help you when you were in defeat

It is the arising conversations of conflict that longed to be resolved

Then love found its way through the cracks of bitterness and that conflict had to fall

It is the mistakes and regret that keep one friend in debt

but the other friend let's go to not only forgive but forget

It is not only ranting but listening,

not only receiving but giving,

Sometimes left in the dust

it is the one thing that allows us to give in our trust

like a child, relationships are nurtured and loved

they are given attention daily yet this world longs to corrupt

the hopes, and dreams of each alike

but raising this relationship with dedication and effort aids in winning the fight

against a society who longs to rip apart

the product of forgiveness, grace and heart

so give your child the things that it needs

to grow, to forgive, to last to succeed

"There are those who make art and those who appreciate art; each one needs the other."

Likewise we need each other

To give us the things we long for but we can't give to ourselves

It is healthy relationships that help each of us excel
