Let Me In

You make me crazy when you tell me you're gonna do something,
Then don't.
You say you will...
And again, you won't.

There's always an excuse,
And my soul feels abused...after.
Sometimes it brings me to laughter...at myself.
I think, "Wow, how embarrassing for me,
why didn't I see that coming?"

Do other people feel this way?
Taken for granted, or betrayed?

What have I done to deserve this?
To be ignored...dismissed?
Nothing I can think of...
Except shown you support and love.

But you don't return it, or maybe that's just the way you are.
That shining, bright star...is gonna burn itself out...
If you don't let me in to save you.
