Let Me Be!

You either read me as nomadic letters,

Or as words from your fairytale;

You think of me as shapes to your specks and strokes,

Vague and homeless until you find me a form.

You see me as dribbled dyes of black or white,

A constant definition by your very sight.

You see me as

Attached, dominant, in a crowd,

Or disconnected, seperate and alone.

Like a blade of grass, singing its heart out

Amidst the rain and hurricane,

That swallow the song,

You mint my many music,

Into values of ink and footnotes;

All the while,

Smothering my silent storm.

You little realize that,

Your ink will never be my words,

Your paper can never be my life,

And your footnotes will never know me.

You can never tell me who I am.

For you never knew,

Of crystals that resonate within them,

Stories from spaces far and wide,

Of light, fire and the eternal fight.

Of windows and new worlds,

Of long walks and stones benches that await;

Of sand-built adventures,

Of rivers, cycles and  merry gait;

Of cobweb pouches holding,

Sweet childhood annd blossoms white;

And

Of the day when I drowned in darkness.

I drowned in darkness,

A darkness of vagueness,

A vagueness of the Lost,

A lost soul, one in a generation,

A generation of the Confused,

Looking to fit in,

Messed up, unidentified, out-of-place.

But the beats got bolder,

My soul got warmer,

I came out spitting fireflies,

Sparks of fire with fiery wings.

I set fire to everything you think.

It is no longer your show,

It never was anyhow.

If I be nomadic letters,

I am audacious without fetters.

If I be fairy tale,

I am my own fairy,

Why ditch it! I choose my own story.

If I be specks and strokes,

I like my own compostition

Even an abstract with zero precision.

If I be dribbled dyes of Black or White,

I choose to go grey,

One of my many colours in a day.

You want me to be a billboard

Lit up by the side of the road,

Like an open advert for property,

An invitation to do case study.

Ignoring the clues to my cypher,

You insist to senselessly decipher.

Yet, there is nothing to blame,

No amount of shame,

And certainly nobody to tame,

I sure as hell, don't think I want to explain!

I am not the brick to your castle in the air,

Not the air in your imaginary bubbles.

I refuse to be judged even before I speak,

And I refuse to speak just when you seek.

Let me be

Don't analyze me.

Every time you think there is nothing more to know,

Or just no more room to grow,

Rethink.

For, as much as I love 'hi's

I damn well don't mind goodbyes!

Ranterfreak

A very confused person, desperately trying to find an original way out of a self created unoriginal world. I love happy moments. Somedays i'm a borderline optimist and somedays i'm a borderline pessimist and most days i don't really care. I'm utterly scared of change but I search for it anyway. Just trying to get a life and to find my voice along the way!
