Let me be
I am someone who is scared to talk,
Someone who is scared to walk.
I am someone who likes being alone,
Because that means I don't have to socialise.
I am someone moved last year,
and hasn't made friends since.
I am someone who used to be so friendly and outspoken,
loud and energetic, fun to be around, and had so many friends.
But I moved to America and now I'm scared to talk,
I'm scared to talk because everyone is judgemental,
I'm scared to talk because everyone seems to hate me,
even though I haven't done anything.
I want to speak up and be heard,
But no one will listen to me,
They will just glare and walk away.
But no more, I will not be quiet,
I will be heard, and people will want to listen,
My stories should be shared,
I have many to tell,
many that are fun and unique,
and interesting to hear.
I used to speak and voice my thoughts,
about anything really,
and I will do that again.
Let me be.
