Let Me Be Something
My thoughts that I write down
I write the words with my own blood
My feelings are flooding the page
My loneliness, my sadness, my rage
I can't speak
I'm too weak
I am nothing without this pen in my hand
But the suffering they put me through
I am in no place to stand
Beat me with your words and hate
Voices are screaming
"It's too late"
Let me work the pain away
Let me work to feel numb
Let me work until all I see is gray
The beating of drums
Ringing in my ear as I punch my damaged walls
Let me scream and fall
Fall into nothing
There is nothing
I feel nothing
I am nothing
But you,
You were something
