Let Me Dream

I stand in a line, for my current progression in time.

Behind me i see broken bones, broken hearts, and many scars.

In front of me i see something even worse. An unknown.

But at the end i see something gleam, a dream.

A dream, that lets me hope, a dream to help me cope through the unknown.

A dream to help quell my fears, to help lead me out of here.

Without this notion of a future, i have nothing.

Without this dream in my hands, i am nothing more than a man without a stance.

So let me dream. If just for tonight let me dream.

Because that dream, is what keeps me, me.
