Let me live
Now please explain what makes you think I'm not intelligent enough to avoid certain things,
First it started when I was born and I think you forgot to switch the parental control to medium when i became a teenager,
The hypocritical judgements are insane, because we both know that when you were my age you did a lot worse than just dancing with your friends,
Second the amount of freedom that you give me is limited so please don’t complain when i break curfew to try something different,
It all started when i was 13,
Changing up stories that my grandma told me,
Third I know u snuck out at least twice a week to drink and go to parties,
The skunk excuse is played out, and the smoke on your lungs was medicinal, no doubt.
Forth you worked at grandpas pharmacy three times a week and yet you were constantly broke,
Where did all of your money go?
But then it all comes down to me,
Where did my money go and what’s that pen charging on my wall?
Why did i break curfew?
Who am I going out with?
What happened to my old crew?
And why is the school calling you?
Fifth you want me to do the things you never did,
Always telling me of your mistakes but i don't want to hear,
So why the hell won’t you let me breathe?
Seventh I know your average was all C’s but don’t worry cause i have a GPA of 3.6
At least once a month you’ll remind me to not lie again,
But it’s not my fault that there’s a party every weekend and you always kill my vibe by saying no, u can’t go cause you are so innocent,
But little do you know that in my group of friends i am the instigator,
And for the last time i don’t follow i lead!
You have this misconception that i am always in need of saving
But for the last time just let me live
