Let Me Watch You While You Sleep

Let me watch you while you rest

Let me be the security at your bedside

Let me smike the vampires of the night

And scare the demons of terror from sight.

Let me lead you through the fairy path

When your fatigued body takes its journey

And your soul encounter that world where it roams freely

And the dead of the night is disturbed by the sound of your snore.

Let me watch you while you sleep

Patting your hair gently

With my eyes fixed like the security torch

And my laps your pillow of rest.

Let me bear you in my arms as you open your eyes to a new day

And let me welcome you with a kiss of a beautiful morning.
