Let you go
At first you were my everything, my light,
My way out of the darkness...
We've strted out friends but then something happned.
We grew to love each other, more and more each day.
It felt like an eternity, together.
Our flame, shined so bright, I thought it would last,
As our flame grew brighter, my grip on reality drimmed.
We loved each other so much, it hurt,
like a knife being dragged across my skin, drawing blood.
I knew that I would end up hurting you one day,
you pleaded and begged not to be let go, it crushed my heart.
Knowing that you would somebody and that somebody wouldn't be me.
I didn't tell you the reason, cause for the first time in my life,
I wanted to be selfish, I wanted to keep you to myself.
I had no choice, it killled me to do.
Cause no matter what I tried to do, it never worked...
I just had to...
Let you go.
