Let's Be Friends

Last thing I expected you to say.
Easily one the worst sentence a guy has to hear.
Truthfully I wasn't ready for it,
‘’...What happened! What did I do"
Stupidest words I ever uttered

Because, like an idiot, I already blamed myself,
Even though the cause could have been anything or anyone else

Foolish, one of the nicer words I used to describe myself in that moment, and every other time I thought of you.
Really, I thought things were going well,
I thought, I thought ... , it doesn’t matter now because I know I was wrong.
Excuses, excuses. Yeah, I was full of those, one to explain every little mistake I made. Everything I should have said or done but was too scared and stupid.
Now, to be fair I didn't want to look like a victim like I was the one who cared the most. I am a “man” or better yet I was in the process of being one at the time.
Denial is the first thing you learn while studying to be a “man”, along with the ability to avoid showing any emotions or getting too close to someone.
So I end this with an apology. Sorry, I didn't do enough, I was too much of a boy to deserve you.

For some odd reason, I can't get it to be structured the way I wanted. Its supposed to be divided into three paragraphs but every time I upload it the paragraphs merge into one big blob.
