Let's Define Love
Love is something that is felt and something that is heard,
Love is also a way to teach you and to learn.
It isn't as easy as one, two, or three,
And even at love's best, it's not always about "me".
Love can bite us, warm us, or even leave us guessing,
It can appear out of now where, or even when you're resting.
Sometimes love happens early, for others it happens late,
But remember that love will find you, so don't stress about the date.
Love is not a whisper, not a scream, nor a shout,
It's something much more meaningful, even heard above the crowd.
You'll fight, and argue, and bicker 'til you're blue,
Nevertheless it's love, and they're thankful to have you.
Love lasts an eternity, and so on and so forth,
It will give you a happy feeling, perhaps a sense of warmth.
You share your clothes, your food, and even your shampoo,
Regardless of how you feel, your partner will always love you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my poem! I hope you had just as much fun reading it as I did writing it!
