Lets Face It

How long can things be pushed under a rug, Till we can never pull them out, even with the hardest tug. Won't it be much simpler to address something full-on, Rather than waiting and waiting till it becomes over blown. Life is a series of twists and turns, At times making it impossible for us to return, High time we come out of our comfort zone, Where we've been safely hiding, though still alone Only to be pushed into the harsh cyclone. Its always been easier to run and hide, Sit safely in a corner, without moving side to side. Our greatest fears will soon need to be addressed, Eventually somehow else we will regress. To a place unknown where demons reside, Amid shadows of gloom slowly eating our insides. Despite having people all around, Depression shall overcome making us feel bound. We may believe that things are not in our hands, And we are compelled to do as the Lord above commands. But effort surely has to be made, Ourselves we often need to persuade. Things don't always go our way, Our past debts we must repay. The courage to face life we are sure to possess. If we learn to move along and never digress. None of us were born to live in a shell, Darkness from our life we need to dispel. At the end happiness, is sure to knock, But to let her in lets remove the block. Life is certainly no bed of roses, But staying positive will ensure that changes. Living in the present moment is the key, To the life of fulfillment I'm sure all will agree.
