Let's Fly

Home

Home is the thing I cannot live without;

However, home is where the heart is,

So perhaps it’s my heart I cannot live without,

And my heart belongs to the

One

The one who got away,

So I’ve been living without it for months now.

Just trying to make is through my days

By focusing on the

People

The people in my life that create rainbows,

during the storm, not after,

And open the floodgates to happiness.

Having them in my life brings about

Experiences

Experiences that encourage personal growth and development,

The pull me out of the dark into the light

And remind me that my worth is not measured by extrinsic things.

They say to me, “remember, there is always

HOPE”

Hope is the thing I cannot live without;

It reminds me that the one who got away is actually number two, or three, or forty

And that there are people to remind me of that fact

And lead me to the experiences that will remind me I am indispensable. .

“Hope is the thing with feathers,”

And with these wings, I will soar.
