Let's Start Over

Waiting for you to call, feeling my phone vibrate against my chest,

Jumping up in the middle of the night, thinking it's you,

Only to see someone else's name come across the screen,

As my heart starts racing, and falls to my stomach,

As tears begin to form in both my eyes and heart,

My mid works frantically making exucses for you,

I feel weak, we have been here before

'Cause I feel we keep going back and forth,

Maybe it's over, maybe we are through,

But I can honestly still say, "I love you"

Maybe we reached the mountain peak,

And there is nothing left to climb,

And maybe we lost the magic peace,

And we're both too blind to find,

Let's start over, let's give love their wings,

Let's start over, stop fighting about the ame old things,

Let's start over, we can't rent our ancient love asunder,

Maybe you will settle, well I won't,

We keep going back and forth,

We have been here before,

'Cause I feel weak, this feeling I've known all too well,

One day the excuses stopped, I've known this feeling too long,

This cycle becomes more and more routine,

Maybe this time we really are through,

Maybe this time, its time, to bid farewell
