This is a letter to the father,
the father like many others,
the one who lied, cheated, deceived and left.
This is a letter to the usuals,
the impressionables,
the uninterested girl in the back.
This is a letter to the mother
with a granddaughter at 32,
this is to the tears swept
from a cheek that dreads the mistake,
the same mistake she made years ago.
This is a letter the beautiful mishaps
